Wā Whānau

At Mairehau we have vertical form time at the beginning of the day. We call this time Wā Whānau time.

Wā Whānau time creates a sense of hapori (community) within our school.

Time spent in Wā Whānau assists the development of relationships and mentoring between our year levels, creates connections for Mairehau kaimahi and ākonga, and offers opportunity for ākonga leadership throughout our school.


What is the purpose of Wā Whānau?
