On a sunny Friday in week 7, the Senior and 101 ESOL classes spent the day exploring Orana Park and learning about the adaptations and environmental impacts on the animals that they take care of. The park educators were brimming with interesting facts to share and we also enjoyed several 'up close and personal' interactions with some of the animals; the giraffe, gorilla and kiwi were particular highlights. We are now half way through creating a children's book to sell at the market in term 4 where 'Jose the Kiwi' visits animals all around the world.
A nice day out with the added bonus of learning about animals
