Ngā mihi o te ahiahi,
Good afternoon,
Term 3 is rapidly coming to an end. Our kura (school) has had a productive term, and our upcoming newsletter will provide you with more information about, and pikitia (pictures) of, all the amazing happenings of the term.
As always, on the last day of Term 3, we will celebrate our annual International Day. This is the day where we acknowledge the many wonderful cultures that our students hail from. Some important things to note:
Students are expected in class from Period 1 - 4. Period 4 is a special assembly. Attendance will be marked and monitored.
At lunch, there will be two food trucks on site. Our normal health school lunches will be provided as always, but students may wish to bring some cash to purchase extra kai from the food trucks. Cards may or may not be accepted.
Students will be released earlier than usual, at 2pm, with buses scheduled to depart then.
Students are encouraged to wear something that reflects their culture, but any non-uniform is permitted (within the normal parameters, of course). There is no cost for this.
We look forward to this celebration of our community and wonderful world!
In the Term 3 break we are again running a Holiday Programme. This is an opportunity for students to come into school to study, complete assessments or classwork, connect with our support staff/kaitautoko and/or to do some physical activity in the gym and surrounds. Please refer to the attached flyer for specific detail.
Term 4 is looking to be fairly action packed with NCEA examinations, sending off our Year 13 cohort, and Year 10 camp, among many other exciting things. Please keep an eye out for more detail to come.
An important date you can immediately add to your calendar is our annual Kahukura/Colours Awards, which are scheduled for the evening of Thursday 15th October.
Wishing all of our students and their whānau a fabulous and safe Term 3 break.
Ngā mihi nui,
The Senior Leadership Team
