If your child is Year 9 -13 and under 18 years old, they are entitled to FREE dental care, funded by Health New Zealand – Te Whatu Ora.
Mobile Dental Aotearoa will be visiting Mairehau High School soon to provide dental care during the school day in a modern, fully equipped mobile dental clinic.
What does the service include?
Each enrolled student is entitled to an annual dental visit, which may include:

A dental checkup

Dental xrays

Oral health education

Teeth cleaning
-
Fluoride treatment and fissure sealants (if required)
If your child requires further treatment, such as fillings or extractions, we will contact you to discuss this and arrange another appointment on the mobile unit at school. Whānau are welcome to attend.
All treatment is FREE.
Important enrolment information
Parents and caregivers must enrol their chiled directly with Mobile Dental Aotearoa.
We are unable to see any student unless they are enrolled and consent has been provided by a parent/caregiver. It is important that we hear from every student with an enrolment or a clear decline to enrol. Students 16 years and over can enrol themselves.
