Topics/Course Outline: Students will explore the people, ideas and societies of the ancient world, examining how historical, cultural and political contexts shaped their beliefs and actions. They will analyse primary and secondary sources, explore different perspectives and examine the significance and influence of the classical world.
Skills:
Students will develop critical thinking, source analysis and research skills. They will use evidence to construct arguments, evaluate perspectives and communicate informed interpretations of the classical world.
Where does it lead?
Studying Classical Studies builds essential skills in critical analysis, persuasive writing, and source evaluation that prepare students for university degrees in Law, History, Political Science, and Philosophy.
